- Phase 5a executed, which is phase 5 tasks 1 (partial), 4, 5, 6, and 8
- @Ben create milestones for task and issues for work items
- We won't assign @PMC point-of-contact for tasks/issues; we'll have everyone follow issues for now and see how it goes
- Discussed plan for getting started:
- @Jeff and @Blake start work on task 4 (I/O improvements) items:
- Allow users to specify separate input CSV tables or an HDF5 file in the initialize step (which basically means creating a new model step to replace this script)
- Provide automatic generation of simpler and more typical activity-based model output files such as the final household, person, tour, and trip files. (which basically means adding a CSV or HDF5 option to the write_tables function)
- @Jeff draft plan for task 4 item - whenever a logit model is solved, add the ability to get the logsum in addition to the choice
- For task 5 (TNCs), @Ben setup a requirements/design meeting with the team and Mark and Joel to review draft design
- 90 minutes, share draft plan ahead of time, target meeting before end of year
- @Ben start work on task 6 (developer tutorial)
- We reviewed the existing rst user documentation and the online runnable Google Colab Jupyter notebooks (which we recently created for open matrix)
- We'll create the tutorial in Jupyter notebooks, link to it from the rst user docs, and we'll make sure to have a non-colab version/option so users can run it locally
- @Ben draft outline and share some similar examples
- @Blake start work on task 8 (popsim migration)
- @Jeff and @Blake start work on task 4 (I/O improvements) items:
- @Joe updated ITM tutorial and will share with group
- We discussed the recent pull requests
- @RSG to review as part of task 1 (PM)
- Likely ask contributors to answer the contribution review criteria questions as part of the PR
- We'll do a quick review this time, with an eye toward a more formal process under the upcoming strategic development and contribution plan task
- Shift next meeting to 12/20 and then every two weeks after that
