- We're making good progress on the verification work, see the verification table for the current status
- Some things we identified/fixed since our last call:
- Shadow pricing looking good, see below
- Jeff added sampling and logsums for non-mandatory travel
- Jeff finished implementing the atwork subtour freq expressions
- TM1 does model mandatory travel for children too young for school. The documentation and size terms suggest otherwise, but there are mandatory tours for preschool kids. I'll turn this back on.
- I reviewed all ASIM expression files against TM1 UECs and identified three differences:
- parking costs need to be added
- all zones assumed to have short walk access to transit since we decided long ago to not implement transit subzones since multiple-zones is a superior approach. This will cause differences in the verification.
- free parking is not implemented, including downstream expressions
- Indiv non-mandatory tour freq isn't right, we're investigating
- We agreed to:
- implement the free parking model (~$5k cost to complete)
- implement the parking cost expressions
- to run TM1 with every zone having short walk to transit so we can get a more consistent run for verification. We'll be adding multiple zone support so we shouldn't implement the transit subzone stuff now.
- We discussed that we might want to eventually run TM1 and ASIM multiple times and average the results so we get more stable comparisons
- @Jeff to implement free parking, parking costs and other fixes as identified
- @Ben to continue verifying / tracing:
- additional submodels
- CDAP since it doesn't match all that well
- worker flows by TAZ pair
- @Ben to clean-up the verification table and Excel summaries so they are easier to understand and better documented. The verification table will just have the current status - not a history of updates.
- Welcome Oregon DOT to the consortium!
- @Bill to work on MOU update
- We decided to track issues in the GitHub issues instead of in email so collaboration is easier
- Daysim style shadow pricing results look similar
