Install
If you are installing the editor for the first time, use the latest Release from this repository, or follow the download link on the AutomationML tool website. Please note that AutomationML editor version 6.0 and higher requires a license to use all functions. Members of the AutomationML Association receive annual licenses. Non-members can obtain licenses from the AutomationML Association office.
The Editor Installer uses the users local data folder "C:\Users<username>\AppData\Roaming\AutomationMLEditor" to store Plug-Ins.
If you have already carried out an initial installation, the editor informs you about available updates. The update can be carried out directly from the editor. The automatically triggered update steps are:
- saving and closing the current document
- closing the editor
- uninstallation of the current version
- installation of the updated version
- starting of the updated version with the last edited document.
If errors occur during the installation, you can carry out the current version as described under First Installation.
