4 CONCLUSIONS
4.1 FOLLOW UP ON THE PLAN MADE IN BERLIN
We all agree that focus is now on the BOP-TEST development. Once this framework has been finalized, the requirements for emulators are clear and development of emulators can start, which will be subjected to a peer review process. Actions towards the Modelica Library for MPC start later since it’s the same team we are relying on.
4.1.1 Emulator models: development start once the Modelica code template is ready? How to organize the peer review process?
A Modelica template is needed to standardize the KPIs and inputs/outputs communication. A first draft is ready, which will be discussed in Paris. To set up a peer review process we need a checklist and tests. Action Filip Jorissen: make a first proposal, which will be discussed in Paris.
4.1.2 Prototype BOP-test: status today and which actions needed?
David Blum presented the BOP-TEST prototype using slides and showing a demo. The prototype API and workflow were shown. All steps are well documented. US funding (from DOE) is granted for a BOPTEST development project. Action all: join the google group if interested and send contact details of potential members of the Technical Advisory Group to David Blum. Action all: give feedback by using this prototype which is available on the BOP-TEST repository.
4.1.3 MPC description template: status today and which actions needed?
First draft of MPC description template has been made by Jan Drgona and Iago Cupeiro and will be discussed in Paris. Moreover Jan & Iago are working on an MPC review paper where the BOP-TEST should be included. Action Jan Drgona: contact David Blum for potential contribution to review paper.
4.1.4 Quantification of performance indicators: status today and which actions needed
The result of the development of testing metrics was shown by Huang Sen, summarized in a matrix that shows for each KPI the required variables and ways to implement/calculate it. Action Huang Sen: send the KPI matrix to Javier Arroyo. Action Javier Arroyo: Compare this KPI matrix with the conclusions made in Berlin.
4.2 IMPORTANT TOPICS FOR BREAK-OUT SESSIONS IN PARIS
The main actions taken are related to BOP-TEST developments and resulting requirements for the emulators, so these will be presented in the plenary session.
Break-out sessions will focus on:
-
Discussion 1st draft of Modelica template for standardizing KPIs and inputs/outputs communication.
-
Discussion 1st proposal checklist and tests for peer review of emulators + action plan for emulator development
-
Discussion BOP-TEST prototype + further actions to be defined
-
Discussion MPC description template
-
Discussion KPI matrix
4.3 ABSTRACTS SUBMITTED FOR BS2019 CONFERENCE
We agreed that the IBPSA Project 1 Acknowledgement should be used as soon as the content of the paper fits within the IBPSA Project 1 scope and is a result of a collaboration between at least two partners in IBPSA Project 1. David Blum submitted an IBPSA Project 1 abstract to BS2019, see https://docs.google.com/document/d/1dOBQ1ZqwjGpb62XwCcr6tvfa5e_YPkl8hJhmFkilXF4/edit#
