We will do a special session with mechanical designers who are using or have been using Modelica. The goal of the session is to understand the needs and barriers for further use of Modelica by the building design community (mechanical engineers). How can Modelica create more impact in this user segment? Invite about 5 practitioners and discuss their experience, perception and needs. Write a set of questions and share prior to the meeting with the panel. Filip, Dirk, Gerald and Michael to develop set of questions.
Another option, which we may discuss at a future meetings, is the use of BIM for HVAC and controls, and the relation between BIM and semantic modeling as the latter has significant momentum for controls, diagnostics and energy informatics use cases.
Remove one break out group and expand panel discussion to about 2 hours.
All WP leaders to fill in breakout sessions.
Michael to add a section in Expert Meeting to discuss interest of participants to actively contribute to a future project. It will be important to expand the core contributors to have a larger group of people provide active contributions.
Filip, Dirk, Gerald and Michael to develop set of questions for panel discussion.
Michael to send registration reminder.
