Editorial Team
The Editorial Team is responsible for managing the respective publications of the project.
It consists of the following roles:
- Managing Editor, English (Alex Wermer Colan)
- Managing Editor, Spanish (Jennifer Isasi)
- Managing Editor, French (Marie Flesch)
- Managing Editor, Portuguese (Daniel Alves)
- Editors (many and various)
The managing editor is a leadership role which comes with it the ultimate authority for their respective publication. All editors report directly to the managing editor, who has the executive power to accept or reject any paper, and to intervene as they see appropriate in the peer review of any lesson under their remit.
They should be a strong voice and a spokesperson for their publication.
They are responsible for quality, and for managing expectations of editors, authors, and reviewers, as well as ensuring that all rules, policies, and relevant laws are followed by members of their team.
Editors belong to one publication project (English, Spanish, French, Portugese), and report directly to the relevant Managing Editor. They are responsible for the peer review process and for following the guidelines set out in the Author's Guidelines, Reviewer's Guidelines, Translator's Guidelines, and Editor's Guidelines.
They work with authors and reviewers to ensure that materials recommended to the Managing Editor for publication meet our standards, and are produced in a timely and collegial fashion.
