AI-Paul: Discuss in OSEP WG meeting where to put the "good practices for Open Source" document
- Discussed, but not a proposal yet
- AI: EMQ SDV WG ideas to be added to one of next TSC meeting agenda
-
AI-Philipp: Will take this to the ELISA Governing Board mailing list for final approval to have KernelCI as associate member.
- We start the process that KernelCI project will become an associate member and we are checking how we can become also associate member of KernelCI. Formal documentation will also happen on the Governing Board mailing list
- Item can be closed.
- Warm welcome to our new TSC members
- Nicole Pappler
- Igor Stoppa
- Olivier Charrier
- New TSC members can also become TSC chair and vote TSC chair
- TSC chair nomination is still active this week. Feel free to apply!
- Affect ELISA TSC and WG meetings
- Is already in place for Governing board and ambassadors meeting (private meetings)
- Currently only for private meetings, should be used for public meetings as well.
- LFX id required for private meetings, but not mandatory for public meetings (lowers the barrier)
- We can have a public meeting calender
- See example from Zephyr: https://zoom-lfx.platform.linuxfoundation.org/meetings/zep?view=week
- This makes life easier for people to join.
- When migrating working group chair (with lfx id) can claim host of meetings.
- Change to LFX in January.
- Pin time zone to host time zone is proposed.
- Report any changes in cadence or time to Min. Otherwise meetings stay as they are.
- Need to check how reminders with Google calender interacts. Min will check if there is any issue not syncing the date.
- Location: Goddard Space Flight Center https://maps.app.goo.gl/NoVcCPoSEk38ardU6
- Registration open: https://elisa.tech/event/elisa-workshop-at-at-nasa-goddard-space-grade-linux/
- Final agenda proposal: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1VhaXU3KTdGEW1BmNpQvUfrMV4ppKZE_jBE7qMsH_Ojo
- Remaining issue is timing of the site tour. ;) -> May cause changes in the schedule for day 1
- Idea is to publish the agenda tomorrow, blog post is in prep (schedule will change a bit still).
- Virtual component still need to be checked. Idea could be to have virtual participation possible for 2nd day.
- Additional: Self-contained slides for later distribution, but do not have live streaming. It can be a potential compromise. In this way we may add the slides to the result database after the workshop.
- Publish an index of previous workshop presentations
- https://github.com/elisa-tech/wg-osep/issues/41
- ELISA members and others should be able to find results, which are currently not easy to be find.
- Make public results more public.
- **Paul created a PR recently: **https://github.com/elisa-tech/wg-osep/pull/46
- Requires additional formal review before releasing it to public.
- The PR can be a blueprint for others to issue PRs with their material.
- This makes sure that the authors have checked validity (being still of value)
- Willingness to publish checked.
- Typically results are anyway CC-BY-4.0. Template also mention this explicitely
- Link to workshop template: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1zBIeEJWJlRF27yFMYcji4eo_h1EzwP2LQ1_UiCbbYjM
- 2nd step: Get back to authors and inform them, that we are formally want to add the content to the knowledge base
- This also gives the chance to re-check if the content is still judged as being correct and valuable.
- Review and publish 'Contributions' material as 'official' ELISA guidance
- https://github.com/elisa-tech/wg-osep/issues/40
- Get a more coherent way and how we get excellent work discoverable by others.
- Results could be made better available with the right linking and forum.
