To save images for the report
The various tools that we use have built-in features allowing to save plots or images. There is no need to take screenshots. In some cases, these tools will even produce files better suited for documents than the version shown on screen.
In Fireworks, the best option is to go to File > Export Images of all views
.
To get the best result on a printed document, you can switch to a white background in Edit > Change Background Color
.
We recommend to save pictures in a new folder on the desktop.
In Jupyter, just shift-right-click on the picture and select "save as".
In Delphes, plots can be saved as in ROOT. The only subtlety is that the File menu is hidden on top of the plot. To make it appear, first undock the subpicture by selecting Action > UndockWindow
. Then pass the mouse on top of the picture, which should reveal the menu. Once you are done, you can close the window to dock it again.
