#The Surfly Documentation

Welcome to Surfly

Surfly's co-browsing technology enables you to share your browser with others. The person who initiates the Surfly session is the leader, and the people who join this session are the followers. The follower's screen will be synchronized with the leader's, who is in control, and can navigate during the session. At any moment, control can be switched between the leader and the follower. During the session, you may choose to communicate via video or text chat, or by using the drawing tool provided.

Complete customization of the co-browsing session is possible, and Surfly can even sit as a transparent layer within your website. This documentation gives a comprehensive overview of Surfly's functionality, and the ways in which you can adapt Surfly to suit your needs.

Documentation

The documentation aims to give you a good understanding of the co-browsing functionality Surfly has on offer, and the ways in which you can integrate it into your own application. The documentation is divided into several parts:

The introduction explains what a Surfly co-browsing session is, and how it works. We outline the main features that Surfly offers, and the ways in which it can be adapted to suit your needs.

To test out a basic implementation of Surfly, you can follow this guide to quickly get you started.

Follow our step by step guide as we use our JavaScript API to integrate Surfly into our example application.

Learn how to transfer cookies to- and from a Surfly session.

For a deeper integration of Surfly, and a list of the functions available, please see the Javascript API reference.

Our REST documentation includes several code examples illustrating how it can be used.

Here you can find a list of the different changes you can make to either the code snippet, or the options panel in your Surfly admin account. If the options panel and the code snippet have conflicting settings, the settings in the code snippet have priority.

Here we answer questions on functionality, technology, pricing, security and initial setup. If you do not find what you were looking for, please don't hesitate to contact us.
