VSCP (Very Simple Control Protocol) is a free framework for automation that was started in the autumn of year 2000. The goal has been to create a very simple, yet capable, framework for m2m/IoT automation tasks (industry automation/home automation etc).

Since the start a rich set of software tools, hardware and specifications has been developed, all free to use under open source licenses.

The work with VSCP continues and a tighter integration with node-red will be seen in the near future. Bluetooth will also be a central part in future development as a higher level configuration channel.

The VSCP project is dependent on donations and sponsoring to keep the project going. Received funds are used for hardware, hosting and other related project things.

This amount is on an average what is needed to pay for services and to buy test equipment, tools etc to keep this operation going, ex any salary to me and ex costs for office space, both which I also pay for. just as others do
