As of
symfony/http-foundation 7.4theRequest::get()method is deprecated (ref).The framework has discussed re-implementing for BC purposes but no decision has been made yet (ref)
I think if/when laravel v13 adopts symfony 8 there will be a definitive answer, but if this library expects the incoming data about includes, excludes, and fieldsets to always come via the query string, this is a safe refactor.
