XSpelunker (MSX) v1.4.3
Changes since v1.4.1:
reduced bee nest health to 2 (now all enemies have either 1 or two health, so a bomb can kill any enemy)
updated player start position to prevent random falling and losing health at the beginning of a level
updated a pattern in the inner ruins that had a very hard jump with the new jump inertia code
fixed a glitch when you throw a bomb out of bounds
XSpelunker (MSX) v1.4.1
Changes since v1.4:
- given the player a bit control over the jump
- tweaked a bit the config screen
XSpelunker (MSX) v1.4
Changes with respect to v1.3:
- Fixed some bugs related to pushing boulders
- Added "X" and "Z" as alternative keys to "SPACE" and "M"
- Added an option to turn the in-game music off
XSpelunker (MSX) v1.3
Changes with respect to version 1.2:
- Fixed a bug that made the "machete autoselect" option to have the reverse effect of what was expected
- you can see 4 tiles lower when you crouch to plan for long falls
- you can select items using the number keys ("1" through "8")
XSpelunker (MSX) v1.2
Changes from v1.1:
- Reduced the collision box of the character (be careful, since it takes a while to get used to the character falling early from ledges, and you might fall before being able to jump!)
- allowed the player to control the height of the jump (this was necessary after reducing the collision box, since otherwise, some sections of the game were not solvable any more!)
- changed the way you drop from ropes/vines: now just double tap down (instead of double tapping right/left) to make it more consistent with other similar games
- several other bug fixes
XSpelunker (MSX) v1.1
Updates from v1.0:
- limited the number of monkeys to 2 per trunk
- reduced the area in which bee nests can sense you
- added a configuration screen to select:
- wether you want double-up for jumping on ropes or trigger a
- whether you want the machete to be auto selected after you used a consumable item (rocks, bombs, ropes, etc.)
