It would be better if we had "pip install..." working, but for now we can provide some basic hints for both the SageMath distribution and "manual" installations.

I don't use sage-the-distro myself and test-long is currently broken so not sure how to review this. |

There's no emergency, it can wait for someone else to try it out. There are only a few things that need confirmation:
