You right about this and about "another string for this dialog.". But "Комментировать" looks better in file menu.

Can you add "Search in comments" field?

Keep "Comment": "Комментарий" as is, and if you add "Search in comments" it should say "Поиск по комментариям"

i think it's better, because it's more generic; the day i add "size", we don't need to have a new text to translate.

I like it, but now that i think about it, is the Comment button in File menu supposed to be a noun or a verb?
Comment in Russian is noun комментарий and verb комментировать. Should be different in both places.
