Flowatcher is a real-time flow-based traffic monitoring tool for 10 Gbit Ethernet. This is built on DPDK (http://dpdk.org/), and based in part on the work of the libwebsockets project (https://libwebsockets.org/).
- Install the dependencies (see below)
- git submodule update --init
- ./build.sh
- ./setup-dpdk.sh
- ./run.sh (Run Flowatcher App)
Note: The scripts work on x86_64 Linux.

- for capturing traffic
- 16GB memory
- gcc
- make
- cmake (2.8 or greater)
- openssl (for building libwebsockets)
- zlib-devel
- openssl-devel
- kernel headers (for the DPDK igb-uio driver)
for Debian/Ubuntu:
# apt-get install gcc make cmake openssl zlib1g-dev libssl-dev linux-headers-$(uname -r)
- Start processing packets
# ./run.sh
- Get real-time monitoring
- Access below with your browser, then get a sample client page
- Port number is configurable in src/config.h
