+I always struggle to find workable cafes in Shinjuku. This is place is quite decent though. Look for the sign for "Sumika" and take the elevator up to the 4th floor. There are plenty of large work tables, power outlets, and fast WiFi. The place turns into a bar in the evening, so I probably wouldn't want to stay too late for working. It feels a little dark and enclosed, but not a bad spot to sit and get some work done.

 A really cool place in Shibuya. It started out as a maker space (with 3D printers, laser cutters, and more), and then they added a café as well.

Interesting drinks and a nice variety of cooked food. Their tuna rice dish is really good. Pasta and pizza is also good! Available by most seats. Ask for power outlets when you arrive and they’ll help you. It’s “ok”. Speed is fine, but it can be a bit flaky at peak hours. I wouldn’t go here for downloading huge files. There’s a small non-smoking area, but I normally sit in the smoking area, and it usually isn’t a problem (especially earlier during the day).

+Located in the (tefu) lounge building just next to Shimo-Kitazawa station. Most of the spaces in the building are pay to use, but there's a small seating area next to the cafe that you can use without a membership. Not ideal for long work sessions, but a nice spot to sit and get some work done.

+Another great cafe between Shibuya and Harajuku. Plenty of seating (including counter seats and a large worktable), power outlets, and ok WiFi. Seats aren't the most comfortable, so I wouldn't plan to stay too long. Also the music volume was very loud so noise cancelling headphones was a must for me. Not ideal for working, but still a nice place to have a beverage, with good vibes.
