My name is poptart and I've been tinkering with software and computers since the early 00's. I'm using this space to share more of what I'm working on, learn from other folks, and my goal is to eventually be able to contribute to open source projects.

While I don't have a problem with closed-source or for-profit software explicitly, I believe strongly in the need for and value of open source software (and hardware, for that matter). I'm also pretty tired of companies selling every bit of data they can get their hands on to advertisers, which has accelerated my interest in moving into the space of truly free software.

My current projects are building out a neocities site and forking the kindle weather dashboard project to tweak and customize a version of that page for my personal use.

I literally learned about Gists on here today, so I'll be sharing the occassional snippet here as well: bits and bobs
