First concept and implementation of the app. Everything in this release has been developed in about 40 hours (or, 1 working week) as part of a JavaScript basics course at cimdata Bildungsakademie GmbH. So it not only looks a bit rushed, it most certainly is, too.

What's coming next?

  • Evaluate tone.js as a viable option for the whole audio side of the app (That would make it less "vanilla", but also less bland tasting, no?)
  • Simplify and, in some cases, augment Web Components (Does XYZ really need the Shadow DOM?)
  • Bugfixes

And then, it's on to the good stuff:

  • Improve UI
  • Make UI more accessible
  • Optimize vor touch and smaller screens to prepare for ...
  • ... PWA
  • Storage, import and export of patterns, samples, MIDI ...
  • Facilitate using Oontzr as a MIDI sequencer for external gear (So my crusty old Samsung mobile phone can serve a purpose instead of me having to buy yet another hardware sequencer)
