Imagine a world here some humans could not prepare food for themselves without a vast, global system of power cabled across the topology of the planet, connecting them to vast vast fires devouring entire mountains to generate the power that causes the node connected to the power grid to glow with heat to boil the water to prepare the tea that the human drinks for sustenance.

And that's before we talk about how that tea is grown on one side of the planet, and is transported at great human effort and cost to the otherside of the planet in such quantity that it is ubiquitous in every society.
