Two thirds of Upkie's current price tag (ca. $3000) is devoted to the four qdd100 beta 3 of the hip and knee joints. We could make 3D-printable "mock" qdd100 parts to build a significantly cheaper "entry" version of the robot that would only balance sagitally.
