Playground Scenario Generator

OpsGenie Playground enables you to get started with OpsGenie and various monitoring, ticketing, and collaboration tools. No setup needed.

Playground scenario generator lives at the heart of the OpsGenie's playground. It allows playground users to activate problematic scenarios through a simple web interface. Dynatrace's easyTravel application is integrated by default.

Use-case

Although it is used for a specific purpose in our environment, you can also use this application to access/run jobs on different machines. Currently, there is no persistent storage used to keep the state of the running scenarios. Thus, in the case of application restart, all scenarios are disabled by default.

Constraints

• Only one application (eg. EasyTravel or other apps) can work in an instance
• Only one scenario can be executed at a given time for an application
• Agents/instances names are unique
• Scenario names are unique in an application/instance
• Agents are hard-coded for now - no need to auto-discover as they are not dynamically added/removed.
