## Project Status

(2-3 minutes each)

- idr0159 preparing for next release. Start import next week.

- OMERO
- LUTs: - PR open https://github.com/ome/omero-web/pull/603
- VPN access to various machines at UoD. Looking good (but need to use IP addresses for some machines)
- Andreas: some prep work started for next release

- Bio-Formats: Melissa
- Discussed response to new reader offer

- NGFF
- Zarr status
- zarr-python 3.0.1+
- Some issues using this with Zarr v2?
- spec corrections: mostly naming and extensions need clarification
- RFC status
- RFC-5: transforms. Target OME 2025 meeting?
- RFC-4: anatomical coordinates. Good progress.
- RFC-3: more dimensions and any order - loosening of spec
- upcoming: RFC-6 (multiscales) and RFC-7? (channels metadata, not rendering)
- Targets
- ASAP: 0.5 release announcement (soft release end of last year). 0.6 to follow "soon".
- May (OME2025): transforms
- ... Roadmap ...
- ~December: 1.0
- Community meetings (monthly), etc.
- Jason: RFC process: how many reviews and how do you make decisions based on reviews?
- Josh: No hard rules. "sufficient" reviews
- Jason: nice to avoid paper review scenario where editor has no opinion/expertise. Not a simple democracy / voting.
