What's Changed

This release brings support for transmitting the new data types optimised for vector storage in future Neo4j versions. If you want to try them out, you need at least Neo4j 2025.8 and enable several settings on the database site. Consult the Neo4j documentation on how to do that.

The new types are provided via factory methods in org.neo4j.jdbc.values.Vector for creating them client-side and passing them as parameters and we support all Neo4j supported inner types:

  • INTEGER8 (Java byte)
  • INTEGER16 (Java short)
  • INTEGER32 (Java int)
  • INTEGER (Java long)
  • FLOAT16 (Java float)
  • FLOAT (Java double)

Our current client implementations are array based unless we can in some future use Javas Vector API.
Vectors can be used as is, or even used as SQL ARRAY's

The rest of this release is consists mostly of dependency updates.
