Pending... ☠️
Yo, welcome to NetShield-Blocker 🚀✨ This lil project is all about blocking those annoying websites (or just whatever you don’t vibe with) straight from your Windows Firewall or Hosts file. Say goodbye to distractions or unwanted sites. 🔒🌐
- Block websites using the Hosts file. 🛡️
- Add/remove Windows Firewall rules for specific IPs. 🚧
- Clean UI to manage your block list. 🎨
- Logging with timestamps. Because receipts matter. 📝
Okay, no cap, this project is under construction – like super beta stage rn. It’s not complete and definitely not runnable right now. Expect bugs, missing features, and maybe some chaos. But we’re building towards greatness. Stick around. 😤✨
- Clone the repo:
git clone https://github.com/nayandas69/NetShield-Blocker.git
- Build and run the project in Visual Studio. 💻
- Use the UI to block/unblock websites. Simple as that.
Pro Tip: You’ll need admin privileges to modify system files like the Hosts file or manage firewall rules. Don’t say I didn’t warn ya. 🔑
- C# & .NET Framework – Power-packed for Windows apps.
- WinForms – Old but gold for quick UIs.
- Hosts & Firewall Modifications – Real OG blocking tactics.
- No input validation on the website field. Bruh, don’t put nonsense there.
- Error handling is basically nonexistent. Fixing this soon-ish.
- Could use better UI design. 🫠
Pull requests are welcome, my dude. Fork it, tweak it, and let’s make this cooler together. 🤝
Peace out for now! Stay tuned for updates. 🚀
