This update introduces a function to activate and deactivate the plot_char_masked() function, formerly known as plot_char_fast(), optimizing in the case write combining is enabled on the system. The function works as a toggle, so if it's enabled, as default to respect the original flanterm's settings it gets disabled, and if disabled, it gets enabled. The variable which stores the masking trigger is introduced in context and the function takes a context as argument. It returns the state of the variable withing the given context to enable the user to know its state.
The following image shows the clock counts with wc enabled and the masking disabled (above), which is significantly lower compared to when masking is enabled as by default(below).
