About Me:

I am a mechanical engineer turned snow science nerd ❄️

There are three long term projects that really define my work:

  • Advancing realtime snow modeling at M3Works using iSnobal in collaboration with ASO Inc.
  • Developing a snow penetrometer called the Lyte probe at Adventure Data to characterize snow microstructure.
  • Developing a spatial database for the NASA SnowEx campaign.

Open Source Projects

I really enjoy making tools that help save other time. Here are some open source projects I contribute to:

  • inicheck - configuration file manager
  • basin_setup - Package to speed up delineating watersheds and setting up modeling domains
  • metloom - Tool for pulling weather station data across different networks.
