Application

PictuBot

PictuBot is a GitHub app for image optimization. It uses a novel AI model specifically designed to perform perceptual optimization of JPEG images, however it also supports lossless state-of-the-art optimization of JPEG, PNG, GIF and SVG images.

Start by installing the PictuBot GitHub app for your repositories. Once installed, PictuBot will look for images in your push events and try to optimize new images it finds according to configuration defaults or settings your provide (see documentation for details).

By default PictuBot will check for changes to any branch of your repository. A PR will be opened against corresponding branch. This approach immediately provides you with optimized images for deployment and performance testing, including branch-based deployments. You can configure PictuBot to only check specific branches and/or locations in your repository.

In order to perform optimization PictuBot has to upload your images for processing. Following best security and performance optimization practices, PictuBot only ever uploads images from your commits but not other files.
