Please consider adding calculation of polar (speed) percentage that could be visualised as a number or as a linear gauge.

If you place this folder into your avnav/plugins directory and configure AvNav to use the user-Sail_Instrument instead of the system one, you will get nav.gps.sail_instrument.VPP = STW/VPOL*100.
