Is it possible backport qat-java to java 8?

Hi, this is not an issue.

An end user running their Java applications on Java 8 wants to leverage QAT for their application using qat-java. They are capable of backporting the code themselves but want to ensure that there are no hard technical barriers preventing the backporting.
