Django User Registration with Email Confirmation Link Verification

This Django project allows users to register with their email addresses and verifies their email through a confirmation link sent via email.

Prerequisites

Make sure you have the following installed:

• Python (version 3.7 or higher)
• Django (version 3.0 or higher)

Getting Started

1. Clone the repository:

   git clone https://github.com/sobit-nep/Django-User-Registration-with-Email-Confirmation-Link-Verification.git   
   

2. Create a virtual environment and activate it:

   pip install virtualenv
   virtualenv venv
   venv\scripts\activate
   

3. Install the required dependencies:

   pip install -r requirements.txt
   

4. Apply migrations to set up the database:

   python manage.py makemigrations
   python manage.py migrate
   

5. Start the development server:

   python manage.py runserver
   

6. Access the application in your web browser at http://localhost:8000/.

Configuration

1. Set up email settings in settings.py:

2. Configure the email templates for email confirmation and activation in the templates directory.

Usage

1. Register a new user by providing a username, first name, last name, email, and password.
2. After successful registration, an email with a confirmation link will be sent to the provided email address.
3. Click on the confirmation link in the email to activate the account.
4. Login with the registered username and password.
5. Logout from the application.
