Some ND2 files (acquired with NIS elements software, Nikon) in 8-bit at certain resolutions (e.g. 1066x590, 1277x1021) look stretched when opened in Fiji (attached image – left opened in Fiji, right the same image in NIS-Elements).
The files contain multiple time points (fast timelapses).

@Simone-Massalini OK, thanks, that means Bio-Formats is being used under the hood. The best thing to do is report the issue on the Image.sc Forum as described in the Bio-Formats bug reporting guidelines. And it will be super helpful if you can include a sample ND2 file exhibiting the issue!
