This guide provides instructions to set up and run the RideOrCry application using Docker Compose.
- Docker installed on your machine.
- Docker Compose installed.
Clone the repository to your local machine:
git clone https://github.com/ihopewecanchangeitlater/Cloud-Services-Development
cd Cloud-Services-Development
git submodule init
git submodule update
To start the application using Docker Compose, run:
docker-compose up --build -d
This will start two containers:
- PostgreSQL Database (RideOrCry-DB)
- Spring Boot Application (RideOrCry-SERVER)
- React.js served on nginx (RideOrCry-CLIENT)
Once the containers are running, access the application at:
http://localhost:3000
To stop the running containers, use:
docker-compose down
To remove the containers and associated volumes:
docker-compose down -v
To update submodules to latest changes, run:
git submodule update --remote
git add .
git commit -m "git submodule updated"
git push origin
- Ensure ports 8080 and 5432 are available on your machine.
- Run
docker compose logs
to check logs if the application fails to start.
