Cave Story+

Tested On: Raspberry Pi 4B 8GB

Overclocked?: Yes, 1.8Ghz CPU and 550Mhz GPU

Performance: 60FPS almost always

Setup Needed: Currently, No

Platform(s): Steam (Box86)

Additional Notes: None

Shovel Knight Games

Tested On: Raspberry Pi 4B 8GB, RockPi 4B+ 4GB

Overclocked?: Yes, 1.8Ghz CPU and 550Mhz GPU, no for the RockPi

Performance: Laggy without Configuration on Raspberry Pi 4, full speed out of the box on RockPi 4B+

Setup Needed: For full speed, yes on Raspberry Pi 4, no on RockPi

Platform(s): Steam (Box86 or Box64), GOG (Box86 or Box64)

Additional Notes: Currently there are only setup scripts for 2 Shovel Knight games: Shovel of Hope and Showdown

Sega Genesis+Mega Drive Classics

Tested On: Raspberry Pi 4B 8GB

Overclocked?: Yes, 1.8Ghz CPU and 550Mhz GPU

Performance: Game itself doesn't work

Setup Needed: Yes, unless you want to grab the ROMs yourself

Platform(s): Steam (Box64), Mednafen

Additional Notes: The game itself doesn't work, however you can easily grab the ROMs to play in Mednafen

Godot Game Engine

Tested On: Raspberry Pi 4B 8GB

Overclocked?: Yes, 1.8Ghz CPU and 550Mhz GPU

Performance: OpenGL 2.1 works, not 3.x though

Setup Needed: No

Platform(s): Steam (Box86 or Box64), native ARM Linux, x86/64 Linux

Additional Notes: You must use OpenGL 2.1 for Godot to work.

Teeworlds

Tested On: Raspberry Pi 4B 8GB, Raspberry Pi 3

Overclocked?: Yes for the Pi4, 1.8Ghz CPU and 550Mhz GPU, no for the Pi3

Performance: Lots of frame skipping on Pi4, but very playable, unplayable on Pi3

Setup Needed: No

Platform(s): Steam (Box86), native ARM Linux, x86/64 Linux

Additional Notes: Game is available both through apt and Steam

Flatpak

Tested On: RockPi 4B+ 4GB

Overclocked?: No

Performance: Just a CLI tool, so runs perfectly

Setup Needed: Technically no, as it can easily be installed manually as well

Platform(s): Native ARM Linux

Performance: Only tried one game in it so far, 1 to 30-ish FPS
