Right now if you want to use the DrupalUser module in functional tests you can't because there's no browser. That's because it uses Drush to generate a login link and then goes to that URL. Instead I'd propose using the Drupal API to create a session. Saves the need for Drush and allows logins during functional testing.

Use login methods from the user module
Remove drush requirement
Fallback to CLI login if driver is not defined.
Allows both acceptance and functional tests to login
