This release renames the command-line tool from msg to msegen to avoid a naming conflict with a program that comes with Windows. This is necessary since Cargo's Path modification has Cargo-installed binaries at a lower priority than Windows system programs.

Cards can now be added in bulk using Lore Seeker search syntax:

  • In the Windows app, there's a new text field “Add cards from Lore Seeker search”. Note that custom cards currently can't be generated, because the official card database is used.
  • In the command-line interface, use =query. Queries that return custom cards should be used with an appropriate --db option.

  • json-to-mse has been renamed to Magic Set Generator. The command-line tool is now called as msg.
  • This release includes a basic Windows desktop app. It doesn't do much yet, but should be able to self-update. You can download it from the “Assets” below.
  • Magic Set Generator 2 is now in beta. It will be released once both the command-line tool and the desktop app have reached feature parity with json-to-mse 1.
