Just noticed in os_linux.c that it might be missing an ID. I assume this might lead to the name being displayed as "Debian" instead (Fallback).

As for the names in builtin.c, the slug/id variant is limeos, the display name should always be LimeOS. I noticed some of the other listings there have capitalized names (Suggesting they're display names), so this might need to be changed as well.

In case any maintainer / contributor sees this, please correct me if I'm wrong.

I also noticed the logo filename is lime. This should be changed to limeos. “Lime” is a separate, established brand, and we deliberately avoid using that name in isolation to prevent trademark ambiguity or potential legal conflicts.

This is necessary only if ID in /etc/os-release is set as debian, otherwise you should not touch this file.

Names are matched case-insensitively, so limeos can be removed.

Just got notified about this. Feel free to either accept or deny this for the time being. We can always come back later.

For context, I understand your goal is to prevent spam and the accumulation of projects that may later be abandoned. While LimeOS is still in active development, it is neither low-quality nor a throwaway project. LimeOS Ltd is a registered non-profit company in the United Kingdom, and the LimeOS name is protected by trademarks in both the European Union and the United States.

Projects that take these steps typically demonstrate long-term intent and accountability - comparable to established distributions such as Debian, Arch Linux, or Ubuntu. In that sense, LimeOS already represents a significantly lower “spam risk” than the majority of listed or supported distributions.

@FabioLolix Thanks for your opinion.

What about to set a hard requirement: any new distros that want to add their logo into fastfetch, must have downloadable ISOs and must have a complete webside ( can be simple though )

As for the downloadable ISO, since yesterday there is a prototype .iso available for testing within the Discord. Once the .iso is stable and ready for every-day-use, the website will be updated to provide said .iso.
