The first series in this collection consists of the artworks of Parisian salon artist, Jean Béraud. The following series are set in the day of the Coronation of Queen Victoria, the event that took place on Thursday, 28 June 1838 in England. Some other historical events depicted in these series, such as the Berlin Congress, with Otto von Bismarck and Kaiser Wilhelm II as important historical figures during these events. The series were enhanced by some situative depictions of European nobility in various times of the day.

The last series in this collection tells the story of the Alexandre Pouchkine hero, Eugène Onéguine, a high society frequenter who was partying with the members of European aristocracy night away. When the party was coming to end, the members of nobility have prepared a carriage for Onéguine and escorted him with other members to the village mansion of well-off French baron. They have dedicated a room for him while the members of aristocracy discussed further plans. A hour later, they have gone doing their job, leaving Onéguine at mansion.

The main character used this situation to start roaming through the surroundings of Paris. While he walked down through the forests and rivers in cold autumn day, he found a mansion to reside here for a while, then moved to Paris. He visited some Parisian cafés and restaurants, walked down the streets of Paris, then when managed to ride on the Orient Express, he returned to Paris, having a rest from such a long walk on the Seine River. Then the carriage crew that escorted him, have once again met him and take away to the Palace of Versailles.

He has enjoyed this moment, and the members of nobility have invited him on the party. They started preparing for the event where many famous people from all over Europe were invited, and when everything was ready for it, the party was started in the Parisian restaurant where many famous guests have been invited. Eugène Onéguine was invited here, too, and the party of the European beau monde was so much graceful and delightful event he was really enjoying it!
