Still a lot to debug and improve. The code is mostly LLM. Just wanted to get it into main for testing.

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • New Features
    • Introduced advanced ball cushion collision simulation models utilizing a Mathavan 2010–based approach.
    • Enhanced collision dynamics for both linear and circular cushion interactions.
    • Expanded options for simulation model selection to improve accuracy in collision outcomes.

Walkthrough

The changes extend the ball cushion collision simulation by integrating the Mathavan 2010 model. New classes (Mathavan2010Linear and Mathavan2010Circular) have been added and registered in the ball cushion registries. A new module introduces the Mathavan simulation with a helper function for collision resolution, complete with error handling and a basic test script. Additionally, enum values representing this new model were added to the ball cushion models.

Changes

File(s) Change Summary
pooltool/physics/resolve/ball_cushion/__init__.py Added imports of Mathavan2010Circular and Mathavan2010Linear from the mathavan_2010 module; updated _ball_lcushion_model_registry and _ball_ccushion_model_registry.
pooltool/physics/resolve/ball_cushion/mathavan_2010/__init__.py Introduced the Mathavan collision simulation model with the Mathavan class, helper function _solve_mathaven, and new collision classes Mathavan2010Linear and Mathavan2010Circular implementing the solve() method; includes test script and error handling.
pooltool/physics/resolve/models.py Added new enum value MATHAVAN_2010 to BallLCushionModel and BallCCushionModel to support the new collision models.

Poem

Hopping through code with zest, I see,
Mathavan's magic sets collisions free.
Linear or circular, the models now gleam,
Like carrots in fields of vibrant dream.
A bunny's cheer for changes anew,
Carrot crunching code with joy so true.

    • @coderabbitai modularize this function.
  • PR comments: Tag @coderabbitai in a new PR comment to ask questions about the PR branch. For the best results, please provide a very specific query, as very limited context is provided in this mode. Examples:
    • @coderabbitai gather interesting stats about this repository and render them as a table. Additionally, render a pie chart showing the language distribution in the codebase.
    • @coderabbitai read src/utils.ts and generate unit testing code.
    • @coderabbitai read the files in the src/scheduler package and generate a class diagram using mermaid and a README in the markdown format.
