WSLTux is a system tray icon application that gives you a visual indication of whether any WSL distributions are running with a Tux icon.

It can be installed as a startup application, and if started with the "--start-minimized" option, it will not pop up the dialog box unless you click the Tux icon in the system tray.

Double clicking the Tux icon will launch an interactive window of your default distribution. It also allows you to start and stop specific distributions from the UI. To terminate the application, right-click the Tux icon and click "Exit" on the context menu.
