Who am I?

  • Assistant Professor in Mehta Family School of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence at Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, India
  • Co-founder at Nytilus Inc., Toronto, a computational imaging startup for industrial applications. Raised seed investments from early stage VCs and Canadian industrial grants.
  • Ph.D. in Computer Science from The University of British Columbia (UBC), Vancouver, Canada.
  • B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IITG).
  • 12+ years of experience in leading academic and industrial projects in the areas of computer vision, computer graphics, and machine learning.
  • Recipient of Mitacs-INRIA Globalink Research Award and Four-Year Doctoral Fellowship at UBC.
  • 15+ in peer reviewed research papers in conferences and journals (Google Scholar).
  • Love to travel. 18 countries and counting.
  • I have also hosted several meetups related to language exchange and artificial intelligence in Canada and Europe.
