Although strictly unnecessary, I find there are two core reasons why I *really* like the combination of using Apple Music with these playlists. I enjoy being able to arbitrarily add tracks, albums, or curated playlists to my music library. And I enjoy being able to "Love" songs.

Yes, I know how it sounds. But I've never been a big fan of the five degrees of celestial glory rating system. I like this song, but how much do I like it? If I were stranded on a desert island with this song, I wouldn't be offering to kill sharks with my bare hands for its returned affection... I guess I like it three stars worth. Bleh. I'm a programmer. I'm binary.

I'm fine liking, loving, favoriting, or otherwise indicating a simple on/off state expressing my undying devotion to a bit of digital information. Give me a thumbs-up, heart, star, bird, alien, syringe or whatever you want...but just give me *one* of them.

I'm aware of my ... eclectic ... taste in music. I'm a little bit Country, a little bit Rock 'n'n Roll (and a little bit Will Smith and Techno). But let's take the most socially-accepted playlist and go with it.

<h2>About Curtis</h2>
<p>Spendlove. Yup. /spend/ - /ləv/ It sounds just like it's spelled. One can imagine the jokes. And I surrounded myself with friends who thought the jokes were much more humorous when we were teenagers than when we were adolescents.</p>
<p>I'm a coder, author, and web developer. During the daytime I write mind-numbingly large enterprise applications to put steak on the table. When the sun sets I don my tights and cape and work on smaller, personal projects...the culmination of which have recently added a salt and pepper shaker to the table.</p>

<p>I'm a husband, father, author, and coder. During the daytime I write mind-numbingly large enterprise applications to put steak on the table. When the sun sets I don my tights and cape and work on smaller, personal projects...the culmination of which have recently added a salt and pepper shaker to the table.</p>
<p><em>I don't <span style="text-decoration: line-through">really</span> <strong>usually</strong> code in tights or a cape</em>.</p>
<p>I first knew I was destined to write code when I shipped my first Macintosh application in the 90's. I was irritated by dying continually in Descent. So, I wrote Descent Saved Game Editor. DSGE followed the UNIX tradition: do one task and do it well...allow the user to hack their saved games with vastly superior armor, weaponry, and ungodly quantities of ammunition.</p>

<h2>Consulting</h2>
<div><span>I'm often available (in weekly blocks) for one-on-one and group consultation.</span></div>
<h2>Stuck?</h2>
<div>
<p>Chances are high you have inefficiencies (or complete blocks) in your technology chain. Let's work together to figure them out.</p>
<p>The timegrid below indicates my availability. I'm free for sustained, focused work in the weeks coded blue. But we can always have a quick chat or email conversation starting at <a href="mailto:[email protected]">[email protected]</a>. Or reach out to me on the services below the timegrid.</p>
<p>The results of this conversation will help me create a roadmap <!-- TODO: link to sample roadmap --> focusing on improvement areas in your technology chain.</p>
<p>(I'm *almost* always booked out a few weeks in advance, so you should reach out soon.)

To-Do:
Consulting:
- Move "Month" name inside the availability bars
- Add slight (light) border to availability bars, showing clearly week delineators
About:
- Move "Month" name inside the availability bars @done(2016-04-25)
- Add slight (light) border to availability bars, showing clearly week delineators @done(2016-04-25)
- Add Roadmap Sample
Articles:
- Polish "25M of Rock" @due(04-28-2016)
Publishing Schedule: Tuesday - Core Focus (DevOps), Thursday - Workflow (Tooling Post), Friday - Fun (Something to Stir the Pot or Kickoff a Good Weekend). Posts don't *have* to appear those days, but if I do write them (or have a backlog) they will be scheduled for building on those days of the week using the "future" feature of Jekyll.
- Polish "25M of Rock" @due(04-27-2016) @done(2016-04-27)
- Set "25M of Rock" to Post Thursday @due(04-27-2016) @done(2016-04-27)
Ideas:
- Walk through OS setups for Workflow article ideas (the OS Setup articles are great for this...highlight a few CLI tools or regular apps or whatever)
- Hardware reviews (like the Kinesis keyboard, trackball, etc)
Jekyll:
- Add feature to "future" / "drafts" to specify a date limit
For instance, I'd like to be able to preview what my site will look like after tomorrow's build. I need to be able to project to a date in the future (next week, or Thursday to see that day's posts).
