Screen Readers and Accessibility
I try my best to make this game as accessible as possible with a special focus on screen readers. While most of the game is essentially no different for screen readers, there are a few concepts worth explaining and a few tips that can help play the game smoother. There are no quests which require visual feedback from the game, even ones that involve "searching" the map for things.
A core mechanic to the game is that actions have "delay", and while you are in this delay the user interface is largely disabled to prevent you from doing any actions while in delay. If you do an action while in delay then the action will not process and your delay will be increased even longer. Most delays are just under a second, although healing and teleporting are a fair bit longer. The disabling of the UI can sometimes feel like the page is refreshing, for example if you're leveling up while auto-battling then the disabling buttons can be difficult to navigate.
The game tries its best to use numbered headers to designate the structure of the app. At the very top you'll find all of your raw statistics such as level, attributes, gold, experience, current location, and current class. Immediately below that is the main game, which takes place inside of a tab navigation area, the tab selection is designated by the H1 "Navigation". As you progress you will unlock new tabs containing additional UI elements.
Below that tabbed play area is another tab navigation area, this one for chat and notifications. The "All" section contains both chat and your notifications, while the others only contain one or the other.
The map is a 128 by 96 grid where each tile has a terrain type and some tiles represent special locations (most of which are listed here), the scale of the map is large enough to contain a sea and multiple differing regions. Surrounding the entire map are vast mountains bleeding in just barely on all sides. There are some smaller lakes around the edges of the map but none compare to the massive sea in the center. The centered body of water has a sporadic coast line with many inlets and peninsula's stretching into it, as well as a selection of ports all around its edges. All of the islands within the sea are "forbidden", most are small except for 1 large centered island with a single massive mountain peak and a city sized pile of bones labeled "Wyvern's Holm".
Valtham Landing, one of the ports, connects to the hilly region on the west edge of the map. North of that across the Darkwood Bridge you'll find The Dark Forest connected to the sea through Canogoe Harbor. The south west is a much more sparsely wooded region surrounding the city of Boatwright and its docks. There's a large inlet bay at the northern center of the map with the Northern Point docs centered on them, the bay spans over 30 units wide before connecting over a series of bridges to the capital city of Rotherham which sticks out into the sea from the north east.
The south of the map is mostly a desert with the large sea interrupted by a large centered peninsula; Sherlam Landing connects to the sea at its southern most shoreline near the eastern side of the map.
