Django Image Tileview

A simple Django Admin view for side by side image exibition.

Motivation

We have a large number of images to manage, so the traditional listview was not very useful.

This is a simple modification, that enables us to see more images per page.

Installation

Install from git:

pip install "git+git://github.com/collabo-br/django-image-tileview.git"

Add to your INSTALLED_APPS:

INSTALLED_APPS = [
    ...
    'tileview',
]

Usage

from django.contrib import admin
from django.utils.safestring import mark_safe
from django.utils.translation import ugettext as _

from yourapp.models.image import Image

from tileview.admin import ImageTileAdminMixin

class ImageAdmin(ImageTileAdminMixin):

    list_display = (
        '_thumb_image',
        'name',
        '_image_geometry',
        '_image_size',
    )

The first entry on list_display must be the image URL. All other fields will appear as properties on a table under the image.

Image width and height are hardcoded in tileview.css file!
