Custom Marlin 2.0.x for Ender 3 with an SKR E3 Turbo

  • BMG Clone Dual Gear Extruder
  • Micro Swiss Hotend w/ HeroMe Gen5 Mount
  • BLTouch 3.1
    • UBL Bed Levelling enabled (3x3 grid)
    • Safe-Z Homing in bed center
  • X+Y Sensorless Homing Enabled
  • Junction Deviation and S-Curve Disabled
  • Classic Jerk Re-Enabled
  • Linear Advance set to 0.82 for my setup (0.3mm Nozzle, Bowden, with a clone BMG extruder)
  • Babystepping Implemented and combined with Z-Offset for easy live Z-updates (just double click the knob during a print)
  • XYZE Interpolation ON on, hybrid mode ON (100,100,5,60)
  • Acceleration + Speed limits upped to more reasonable (but still quite usable) settings
  • Increased Probing Speed for faster Bed Levelling & Homing
  • Increased Bed Dimensions to utilize full Bed area
  • Filament Runout Sensor enabled
  • Print counter and timer enabled for some nice printer stats under "Info"
  • Compatible with Standard CR-10/Ender-3 Display and BTT TFTxx's in Marlin mode.
  • Controller Fan enabled on header FAN1
  • HE1 has been requisitioned as a third PWM fan for the extruder fan (not the part-cooling fan)
  • Slowdown divisor increased to 4 to help prevent unexpected slowdowns
  • Most extra graphics enabled (small info font, M73 progress bar, rotating (P)rogress, (E)lapsed, and (R)emaining time, etc.
  • Arc Support Enabled for use with Arc-Welder

Marlin 2.0

Marlin 2.0 takes this popular RepRap firmware to the next level by adding support for much faster 32-bit and ARM-based boards while improving support for 8-bit AVR boards. Read about Marlin's decision to use a "Hardware Abstraction Layer" below.

Building Marlin 2.0

To build Marlin 2.0 you'll need Arduino IDE 1.8.8 or newer or PlatformIO. Detailed build and install instructions are posted at:

Marlin is published under the GPL license because we believe in open development. The GPL comes with both rights and obligations. Whether you use Marlin firmware as the driver for your open or closed-source product, you must keep Marlin open, and you must provide your compatible Marlin source code to end users upon request. The most straightforward way to comply with the Marlin license is to make a fork of Marlin on Github, perform your modifications, and direct users to your modified fork.

While we can't prevent the use of this code in products (3D printers, CNC, etc.) that are closed source or crippled by a patent, we would prefer that you choose another firmware or, better yet, make your own.
