This PR merges the updates from master into live for deployment.

Key changes were reviewed and tested in #9.

As part of this deployment, the following environment variables have been added to the live system's systemd unit:

[Service]
Environment="ANALYTICS_DOMAIN=compbio.dundee.ac.uk"
Environment="ANALYTICS_SCRIPT_URL=https://analytics.compbio.dundee.ac.uk/js/script.js"
