Thank you for working on this @louisunlimited.

Suggestions:

We should split the groups in two:

  • Steering Group
    • Language
    • Platforms
  • Workgroup
    • C++ Interoperability
    • Contributor Experience
    • Documentation
    • Swift on Server
    • Website

Also, we should avoid the "steering" text if its workgroup in the description.

Hi @shahmishal, thank you for following up!

I added the "steering" text because I saw you have that for Website Workgroup and almost all other workgroups so I thought it might be appropriate. I can also split those like you suggested if you'd like that.

@louisunlimited thanks so much for this work!! I'd like to merge it as is but notes for others -

Questions/comments for the other website maintainers:

  • should we suggest to remove the "steering groups" and "workgroups" after each one now that they have proper headers that allude to what kind of group they are?
  • we still have a TBD on the definitions of the meta groups themselves
    We can do a follow up PR with that stuff if everyone is cool with it.

@parispittman

should we suggest to remove the "steering groups" and "workgroups" after each one now that they have proper headers that allude to what kind of group they are?

That would be my vote as well to reduce information overload.

@parispittman @kaishin I'd love to take this on in this PR if you can provide me with just a bit more info on what to remove / add; Do we only change the linked texts or are there any other places that needs to be changed as well?

@louisunlimited I think removing them from the anchor text should be enough. So __[Website] instead of __[Website Workgroup] etc.
