Here is a first draft. I would like to get a better rendering and alignment of the reference operons, perhaps showing the variable regions.

In addition to marking the start and end of each marker (positions based on a reference genome), we could add a distribution plot (kernel density estimate or histogram) showing the distribution of amplicon lengths. The distribution could be from rCRUX or another reference database.
