Here is space for a wish list:

• Delete snapshots on backup media when disk space is low Possible strategies are:

  • Let only the snapshots that are actually on the PC remain (not implemented)

    This is just a backup. We don't need to store more snapshots than on PC. The snapshots on the PC are already managed by snapper-config or timeshift.

  • Delete intermediate snapshots that no longer exist on the PC. (in gui 6/2023)

    This can save some metadata, and a bit of space (daily changing things like caches...). And it keeps the sheer number of snapshots down.

  • Delete old snapshots if they no longer exists on the PC (in gui 6/2023)

    This can save some space, and a bit of metadata (files replaced by updates...). This may save a lot of space since the oldest snapshot contains a lot of stale data.

• View fill level of the backup disk for info
• Support Timeshift snapshots (not implemented yet)
