Welcome to the DevCV ๐Ÿ‘‹!

DevCV will be an open-source CV builder for web developers, with which you can easily and simply create a promising CV.

The wiki will be constantly updated depending on the progress of the project.

Who is this project for?

  • UX Designers
  • Frontend Developers
  • Accessibility Developers
  • Documentation lovers and content writers

and especially for

  • Beginners
  • Job seekers

What to expect from the project when contributing?

By working on this project, you'll get the hands-on experience that all job-seeking CodeNewbies are looking for. You'll learn how to use Git and GitHub, work on issues, create pull requests, and handle code reviews before committing your code to the main branch. You'll also learn how to work in an agile development team and let your experience speak for itself when you interview for your first developer job.

The code will be 100% accessible. Code that does not comply with the accessibility guidelines will not be merged.

What will the user interface of the webapp look like?

The user interface is discussed in the Discussion section, so it must be ignored when implementing features until we decide on a UX-friendly design.

How will the CV look like?

The CV will look as simple as possible, like my CV that got me and many others a bunch of interviews. There will be no variations to prevent developers from adding "too much" while recruiters actually prefer "less".

The format will be A4 and will be able to be saved as a PDF.
