This plugin adds the Jibauni, the Diba, and the Sheragi as a plugin for the free open-source game Endless Sky. More information about each species/faction is available by clicking on the links.
The storyline copy file serves no useful purpose to the plugin, so delete it if you want to use this addition to Endless Sky.
You will never be able to be on the Diba side. Diba lore is basically some random Alpha decided to leave in his fancy Carrier, stopped in Jibauni space, stole whatever he wanted (a Jibauni Oracle) and left to build his own robotic fleet and completely destroy all of the Navy ships he loathes so badly.
The Jibauni will probably have the biggest storyline. They started about 2000 years before starts his/her journey. The Sheragi (see below) invaded them about 800 years before the player begins, and they have been fighting the Rebel Jibauni ever since then. They have also been attacked by some strange pink alien ship who kidnapped one of the Oracles, who are a (going to be) main element of Jibauni society. Humans would be paranoid about this, but the Jibauni are still welcoming-though they do so with wary thoughts. They have also been attacked by Heliarch ships jumping in to mine asteroids, and have stolen a translation device from one of them.
I’m not sure the base game has any good lore reason that these should exist (save they could be the Pug colony, unlikely) My lore reason is these Sheragi were fleeing from their civil war (which was 100000 BC). These Sheragi weren’t able to get here, going at sub-light speeds, until about 99000 years after that, when they meet-and scare-the Jibauni. The Jibauni fight them off, so they go a bit farther, and have just (300 years) settled their planets/systems.
The Heliarch are in this for profit. They have figured out that (well, not yet, but there will be) there are valuable asteroids (platinum, gold) in Jibauni space. They jump in and figure that they are powerful enough to decimate any Jibauni ship that attacks. They are normally right.
